Anita has an under graduate degree in Business Administration and Behavioral Sciences and earned her Masters in School Counseling from Boise State University. She has licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. She is also certified as a State Mediator, National Certified Counselor and a Master Addiction Counselor. Currently, she serves as Family Court Services Coordinator in the Fifth Judicial District of Idaho. Her role is to serve as a consultant to the 11 Magistrate Judges in eight counties concerning civil custody and family cases.

Anita began her career as a Substance Abuse Counselor and has worked as both an inpatient and outpatient counselor, conducted groups, individual sessions and interventions with adults and children. She has worked as a Vocational Counselor, State HIV/AIDS Grant Coordinator, School Counselor and a Clinical Director in a residential facility for Juveniles.
She specializes in Marriage and Family counseling, special needs of children, sexual identity issues, and eating disorders. Anita teaches Disease Transmission (addressing very highest risk populations) at College of Southern Idaho, Graduate Mental Health Courses for University of Phoenix and Counseling and Interviewing skills for Criminal Justice Program at Boise State University.
