Lauren is a Registered Mental Health Intern with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Lauren is dedicated to helping her clients reach their objectives by instilling a belief in their ability to succeed.

In her private practice, Lauren creates a safe place for her clients to identify, clarify, and explore the reasons they are not functioning to their full potential. She helps them identify the options available to them, discover the meaning behind their behavior, and provides the support to help them implement positive solutions. Lauren uses a Rogerian style of counseling centered on respect, unconditional acceptance and a non-judgmental attitude.

Lauren's experience includes working with individuals to resolve issues of anxiety, depression (including post-partum depression), grief and loss, guilt, marriage counseling, lack of motivation, parenting skills, self esteem, stress, and sexual identity. She also teaches coping techniques and communication skills which are necessary for a successful life. Lauren currently works with adults, families, couples, and adolescents to uncover the motivation behind their behaviors and determine how these behaviors are helping or hindering their personal growth. Lauren also provides group counseling in her Windermere office for adolescents and would be happy to discuss her counseling techniques for teens with their parents.
