Shari's specialties include women's issues, relationship problems, domestic violence, grief and loss. She has facilitated parent effectiveness training groups, substance abuse groups, groups for individuals with thought and mood disorders, and groups for at-risk children and adolescents, including those with emotional/behavioral disabilities in the public school system. Shari received her Bachelor's degree from Barry University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently working on her dissertation for a PhD in Counseling, specializing in Marriage, Family, and Couples counseling at Barry University. She has worked in various community agencies and out-patient counseling centers with children, adolescents, couples and families. Shari is Jamaican by birth and cognizant of how multicultural and religious beliefs can influence therapeutic concerns. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Psychotherapy Association and the National Board for Certified Counselors.
