Lucille D'Amico is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a successful private practice in Windermere, Florida. She received both a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and is licensed by the State of Florida.  She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Central Florida Mental Health Association.

Over fifteen years ago, Lucille began her career working with women who were victims of domestic violence. Since that time, she has worked with men, women, children and families and has counseled clients who have suffered from a variety of issues including anxiety, substance abuse, anger management, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, neglect and abandonment, academic and work problems and relationship problems.  For four years, Lucille worked with adolescents who were incarcerated, focusing on the underlying causes for their criminal behavior, irrational thinking, lack of impulse control and substance abuse. Using a combination of cognitive, behavioral and person-centered therapy, Lucille has been able to help clients overcome debilitating life experiences and lead more productive lives. Through the use of psychotherapy, she has been successful in helping clients who were victims of trauma overcome the negative feelings and flashbacks associated with posttraumatic stress disorder.

Lucille works with individuals, couples and families and will provide group sessions in her office for six or more. Depending upon geographic location or the nature of the counseling, sessions may take place in Lucille's Florida office or via chat, telephone, or email. She is also available to provide seminars or lead discussions at schools or for community groups.

Lucille focuses on positive change and resolution and promotes self-awareness, well-being and personal growth.
