Conducting an online session is simple. We are available for “Live” chat or email sessions. You may choose to schedule a weekly session for ongoing assistance or a single session for resolution of an easily resolvable issue.

Online counseling gives you access worldwide. Instead of limiting yourself to your immediate area, you can connect from all over the world and receive counseling as it's needed and at your convenience.

This site provides details on the therapists, including professional background, home state and a photograph.  They maintain current licenses in their state of residency with no suspensions, as well as malpractice insurance. 

Where do we meet?
You will find two secured chat rooms on this site: Cyber-office, a private, secure chat room, utilizing email, which appears only on this site and is not listed anywhere. You need to be registered and given a password to use it. No one else will be allowed to enter the chat room while we are having our session.  The “Live” Person is a chat room utilizing the Instant Message feature that also offers a completely private one-to-one chat. You don’t have to download any software to use it, and no one else can enter while we’re talking.

How do I pay?
Payment is made in advance for each session through PayPal, a secure online payment service that many millions of Internet users find reliable and easy to use. Payments will be directed to Global Counseling Associates for the session of your choice.

Email
Email counseling is another form of online counseling that may suit your needs. Many find that expressing concerns and/or questions in writing helps organize and focus on the problem at hand. You may email without charge to schedule or reschedule a session, for more information about our services, or briefly with concerns that come up between sessions. Emails addressing specific mental health concerns will be answered by the therapist of your choice and will be billed as stated in our fee schedule.  Chat and email are both effective ways of getting professional help, so choose the one that feels most comfortable for you, or both.

Additionally, all payments via Global Counseling Associates platform are transmitted over a secure connection.

Security & Anonymity
Global Counseling Associates maintains your anonymity within a completely safe and secure platform. Our online counseling takes place in a private and strictly confidential environment, providing a higher level of anonymity than traditional face-to-face counseling. Since there is no chance to run into a familiar face when meeting with your counselor, you can feel confident that your anonymity and privacy is completely secured.

You will be asked to read and agree to our Informed Consent agreement prior to your session. You completely fill out your Intake Form prior to your session.
